Then shaped....
Before the finishing touches he had removed the vase & put it back on the pipe upside down (if you look carefully at the above 2 pictures you will see the bottom of the vase is blown out then shaped but then for more shaping work the bottom of the vase is now on the end of the pipe and the top of the vase is facing us) then he placed the vase back into the furnace ... not sure if he added more glass to the piece or just made it hot enough to work the finishing touches... but whatever he did sure made it beautiful! Don't you agree?
